5 Tips to Help You Get the Most Out of Flavoured Vape Juice - Our Guide

Posted by Bold Commerce Collaborator on

Vape juice comes in a ton of different flavours. From the traditional taste of tobacco to wild fruity flavours and tasty desserts. In a sense, there isn't a limit to what flavours e-liquids can come in.

With that said, if you want to up the ante on vape flavours or to get the most out of your vape juices, here are five tips:

1. Choose the Right E-Juice

If you're looking for the juice that carries the most amount of flavour, you should buy propylene glycol vape juice over vegetable glycerin ones. This is because PG is much more effective at carrying the flavour. VG, on the other hand, creates a thicker plume of vapour when you take a hit. However, since VG produces a thicker smoke, they're more effective at creating different layers of flavour, not to mention an excellent aftertaste.

For the best of both worlds, we highly recommend a 50:50 ratio of PG and VG. That way, you can enjoy the flavours of the vape juice while still having fun with the plume of smoke and the aftertaste.

2. Adjust Your Tank's Airflow

Airflow also affects the amount of taste you receive from a hit. To get the most flavour, close off all airflow on the tank. It will give you a similar draw to that of cigarettes. However, while you might enjoy much more flavour, the hit is going to be much stronger, which may irritate your throat more. Also, there will be less vapour, so if you value vapour and want a smoother feel, allow some air to pass.

3. Replace the Coil Heads

After multiple uses, the same juice you've been using over and over might start to be less tasty. One of the reasons that might be is because of the coil heads. Over time, the coil heads are going to become less effective as they become grimier. Either change them for new ones or clean them thoroughly to enhance the taste once more.

4. Use the Right Drip Tip

The drip tip is the mouthpiece of your vape device. The longer and narrower that mouthpiece is, the more flavour you're going to taste. Like the previous tip, a narrower drip tip limits airflow, allowing you to taste more of the juice. Of course, that means that the wider the drip tip, the more air is going to go through, meaning a thicker cloud of vapour.

5. Address Vaper's Tongue

Sometimes, it might not be the device's fault when you aren't able to taste the vape juice anymore. It might be because of your tongue. We call this "vaper's tongue," a condition where you can no longer taste the vape juice. Fortunately, it is only a temporary condition that will disappear after a few days.

To avoid this from ever occurring, it is a simple manner of using different flavoured liquids every day. Just like getting used to a scent, the tongue is going to desensitize itself to a specific flavour if exposed to it regularly. Vaping can also leave your mouth dry, which consequently leads to a vaper's tongue. Ensure that you're drinking plenty of water to hydrate the tongue (and body).

By following the tips we've given you, you'll be able to enjoy the most that your vape juices have to offer. Remember, that the more you tweak your device for more flavour, the harder they hit, and the less the vapour is. Your choice of e-juice will also affect the outcome, and whether you have a vaper's tongue will drastically change the final experience.
