There are many reasons people take on vaping. For some, it’s a healthier alternative to still enjoy nicotine without all the harmful effects that come with cigarettes. For others, it’s a fun hobby that allows the experience of all the flavours the vaping-world has to offer. Whatever the reason you might have for starting, we are sure that you're enjoying it a lot.

That said, if you’re a new vape enthusiast and are still new to the feeling, you might be experiencing some discomfort such as the drying of the mouth as well as excessive coughing. Is this caused by your vape? Well, yes and no. Beginner vapers often experience these things because they lack the proper technique.

Has chest pain and a dry mouth made your vaping experience subpar? If so, we’re here to help you improve it by tenfold! Keep reading to learn more.

When you quit smoking, you stop the intake of nicotine. After a while, you start to experience withdrawal symptoms, one of them being headaches. Perhaps you’re wondering why you’re experiencing withdrawal if your e-liquids contain nicotine. Well, it is what's missing in the juice that is causing the headache.

While nicotine makes up most alkaloids that are found in cigarettes, there are a few other substances that vape juices do not contain. The lack of this can still cause withdrawal symptoms, hence the headache.

Finally, headaches can also be caused by dehydration, so always make sure to drink plenty of water, especially if dry mouth is causing some discomfort.

Chest Pains

There are quite a few reasons as to why you might be experiencing chest pains when you vape—hot drags, high nicotine content, and flavors you may not be used to.

As you can see, there are many causes to it, and if you're dealing with chest pains when you vape, try to isolate the problem. However, do note that whatever the reason you might discover, chest pain is a sign of a severe health problem. If it doesn't subside when you change your vaping methods, head to the doctor right away.

Dry Mouth

Perhaps the most common side effect that newbie vapers can face is dry mouth. The funny thing about this is that dry mouth is caused by two substances found in the vape juice, which is PG and VG, which helps keep things moist but also absorb water. Sounds weird, doesn't it?

Well, the more important part here is how you can address it. The best and healthiest way to go about fixing dry mouth is to drink water. However, if you consistently face dry mouth, it might be a severe problem more related to dehydration than vaping. If that's the case, do visit your doctor to get it treated.

There are many other side effects other than the ones we've shared so far, such as weight gain, dizziness, and sore throat. However, there’s always a solution that will improve your vape experience! Don’t ignore the problems. Fix your technique, develop better vape habits, and allow your hobby to be fun and not painful. If issues do persist, even if you act by yourself, schedule an appointment with your doctor right away. There might be something more serious at play that you haven't discovered just yet.
